Hostage
Biography
In
1995 the meeting of Andy Zufferey and Olivier Brighenti gave birth to
Hostage.
Both coming from the underground rock scene, they developed the same
passion for electronic music.
They started producing tracks, but their greatest interest was in live
performances.
Two years later they started playing live in various parties.
1999
to 2001 were very good years for Hostage.
They played all around Switzerland in major Clubs like Le Mad, La Case
à Chocs, Le Casino de la Rotonde, and in big events like Balelec,
Millenium I & II, Orgy, the Swiss Electronic Music Convention (EMCS)
and the Harlequin's Castle Open Air in Germany. They also made several
live apparitions on the Swiss national TV and Radios.
Their
music style was in constant mutation.
They started by producing Hardcore, then went to Hard House, Psychedelic
Trance and Techno.
All these music styles were inspiring and interesting, but it finally
was Progressive that matched the best with their vision of electronic
music.
2001
was an important year.
Indeed, after a lot of live performances they decided to concentrate
on producing tracks.
They slowed down live acts and put all their energy in the Studio Work.
They inaugurated their brand new Studio and worked hard on their productions.
These
efforts were not vain.
The same year, they signed on internationally renowned DJ Snowman`s
label Sonar Records (Friendship records).
Andy
and Olivier are also now working on numerous other projects and aliases
like Harry-Klein
on Italian Edinet Music Group, Hardfaction
and Captain
Stubing on the now legendary Sigma Records and U-Sound
on German label Electronic Club Grooves.
